It is no simple coincidence that as food and all the basic living necessities became more abundant, as a population we seem to become a more and more confused about what to do. Not having to think about where we would have to find our next meal, we have turned our attentions towards being comfortable. But the problem with being comfortable is that comfort is not challenging, nor is it exciting, and as human beings, we all feel a need to pursue something greater than ourselves. It is then no surprise that you want to be awaken by your true passion.

 

So what could you do to help yourself in this endeavor? By coming clean with the dissatisfaction you feel for your life right now! In order for you to find it, you can not still be hmmm-hummming over whether or not you want to depart from your comfortable but ultimately dull life. Do not be fooled by what other people have said, everyone has a passion, and everyone can find it. The only reason you have not found it yet is because you haven’t quite made the commitment to leave your current life circumstances. In order to awaken your passion, you must embrace it fully. This does not mean to ignore your responsibilities, what it means is that you have to choose to keep the important things in your life, and do away with those you could live without. Whatever is keeping you complacent is also keeping you away from exploring the life you’ve always wanted to live, so why not make the commitment to leave it? Why not say, “No, I refuse to live as is.” And “Yes, I want to live a fuller, happier life.”

 

It will take dedication to awaken your own passion. You will have to give yourself the permission to live passionately, because passion like anything else important in life comes from within. And if you do not allow yourself to even entertain thoughts of what your life could be than no matter how hard your passion is trying to reveal itself to you, the message will get lost.
